Born Anacani Maria Consuelo y Castillo Lopez Cantor Montoya to a family of Mexican and French heritage, she spent her early days in Sinaloa, Mexico, and the remainder of her childhood in the United States. She and her husband, Rudy Echeverria, eventually settled in Escondido, California, with their daughter Priscila. She and Bobby Burgess both rose to fame on The Lawrence Welk Show.
