About Glen Murray (ice hockey)

Glen John Murray is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles Kings. He is currently the Director of Player Development for the Kings. Murray was a first-round draft pick, 18th overall by the Bruins in the 1991 NHL entry draft. Won a gold medal at the 2004 World Championships with Team Canada. Murray enjoyed his greatest offensive season in 2002–03, scoring 92 points (44 goals and 48 assists) for the Bruins and earning a spot in the 2003 NHL All-Star Game. In August 2005, Murray signed a four-year, $16.6 million contract extension with the Bruins.
