About C. J. Beathard
Casey Jarrett "C. J." Beathard is an American professional football quarterback. He played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft. Beathard has also been a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. On November 9 against the Purdue Boilermakers, Beathard scored his first career collegiate touchdown on a five-yard rush. In the first half against the Pittsburgh Panthers, starter Jake Rudock suffered a minor injury and Beathard took the field to begin the second half, with the Hawkeyes trailing 17–7. While Pitt had been dominant throughout much of the first half, the team gained a new energy in the second half with Beathard under center. Beathard started the following game against the Purdue Boilermakers, where Iowa won 24–10.
