About Kate Douglass

Katherine Cadwallader Douglass (born November 17, 2001) is an American competitive swimmer. Douglass is a five-time Olympic medalist, including two golds, and has won 34 medals with 16 golds at the World Championships (combined short and long course). She is the world record holder for the short-course 100 m freestyle, 200 m breaststroke, and 200 m individual medley, and former world record holder for the long-course 50 m freestyle. Douglass competed for the University of Virginia during her NCAA career, which lasted from 2019 to 2023. She helped Virginia win three NCAA Division I Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023. As an individual, she has won 15 gold and 6 silver medals at the NCAA championships.
