About David Nicholls (writer)
David Alan Nicholls (born 30 November 1966) is a British novelist and screenwriter. Initially an actor after graduating from college, he became a screenwriter, notably creating the television series Rescue Me (2002) and adaptations of novels, plays, and memoirs. He is the author of six novels. Throughout his 20s, he worked as an actor, using the stage name David Holdaway.
