About Ryūzō Sejima
Ryūzō Sejima (瀬島 龍三, Sejima Ryūzō; December 9, 1911 – September 4, 2007) was a Japanese army officer and business leader. His father, Ryūtarō Sejima (瀬島龍太郎), was an officer in the Imperial Japanese Army who served under General Maresuke Nogi during the Russo-Japanese War, and was later the mayor of the village of Matsuzawa in Nishitonami District, Toyama. Sejima graduated from The Army War College (陸軍大学, Rikugun Daigaku) in 1938. Most of Sejima's 11 years in Siberia were spent in a prison in Khabarovsk; years later, Sejima inscribed a memorial stone at the Peace Park.
