Earl Lester "Buddy" Carlyle (born December 21, 1977) is an American former professional baseball pitcher and current coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, and New York Mets. He also played for in the KBO League for the LG Twins, and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Hanshin Tigers and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. In his first year, he appeared in seven games, recording a 1–3 record and a 5.97 ERA while striking out 17 batters.
