About Wilson Fittipaldi Júnior

Wilson Fittipaldi Júnior (25 December 1943 – 23 February 2024) was a Brazilian racing driver and Formula One team owner. He participated in 38 World Championship Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 1 May 1972, scoring a total of three championship points. He ran the Fittipaldi Formula One team between 1974 and 1982. He also participated in numerous non-Championship Formula One races. Wilson Sr was also responsible for the first Mil Milhas race in 1956, in São Paulo, having been inspired by the 1949 Italian Mille Miglia. Fittipaldi was the older brother of CART champion and double Formula One world champion Emerson Fittipaldi. Wilson Jr is often referred to as 'Wilsinho' ("Little Wilson", cf.
