About Dave Brailsford

Sir David John Brailsford is a British sports director and former cycling coach. He is currently team principal of UCI WorldTeam Ineos Grenadiers, and was performance director of British Cycling from 1997 to 2014. He is also currently working with French football club Nice and English football club Manchester United as part of his role as Director of Sport at Ineos. At the 2004 Olympic Games Great Britain won two cycling gold medals, their best performance since 1908. Brailsford became programmes director before becoming performance director in 2003 following the departure of Peter Keen.
