She was nominated for the Campbell Award in 2012 and 2013, and was shortlisted for the Crawford Award in 2012. Leicht was mentioned in Locus Magazine's 2012 Recommended Reading List. She is also one of the regular hosts of the Skiffy and Fanty Show. She loves Kung Fu because it is the only martial art that was created by a woman for women.
