About Hanumant Singh

Hanumant Singh was an Indian cricketer. He played in 14 Test matches for the Indian cricket team from 1964 to 1969. He was later an International Cricket Council match referee in 9 Tests and 54 One Day Internationals from 1995 to 2002. Hanumant Singh played domestic first-class cricket for Madhya Bharat and then Rajasthan and Central Zone, and was known as "Chhotu" on account of his short stature. Hanumant Singh retired from first-class cricket in 1979. His older brother, Suryaveer Singh, also played first-class cricket, while his son, Sangram Singh represented the Mumbai U-16 team.
