About Kelvim Escobar

Kelvim José Escobar Bolívar is a Venezuelan former professional baseball pitcher. He played for the Toronto Blue Jays (1997–2003) and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He won 101 games, but his career was cut short by shoulder injuries. He finished the season with a 13–9 record with 159 strikeouts and a 4.29 ERA. During spring training of 2008, it was discovered that Escobar had a right shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery. Over that period he had a record of 42–44 with 40 saves.
