About Thomas Stonor, 7th Baron Camoys
Ralph Thomas Campion George Sherman Stonor, 7th Baron Camoys, was a British peer and banker who served as Lord Chamberlain of the United Kingdom from 1998 to 2000, and the first Catholic Lord Chamberlain since the Reformation. Through his father's side he was a descendant of the family that founded Brown University in Rhode Island in the United States. Following the death of his father, he became the 7th Lord Camoys as well as a member of the House of Lords on 8 March 1976.
