De Bono invented the L game, which he introduced in his book The Five-Day Course in Thinking. De Bono was awarded honorary degrees from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and the University of Dundee. Asteroid 2541 Edebono discovered by Luboš Kohoutek is named after him.
