About Eugene Goossens (composer)
Eugene Aynsley Goossens, English conductor and composer (died 1962) He won the silver medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians and was made associate of the Royal College of Music. In 1921 he decided to make conducting his career and founded his own orchestra; with this ensemble he made a number of gramophone records for Edison-Bell's Velvet Face label.
