About Gary Brooker

Gary Brooker was an English singer and pianist, and the founder and lead singer of the rock band Procol Harum. Brooker founded the Paramounts in 1962 with his guitarist friend, Robin Trower. Returning to the stage after a longer than expected interval, Brooker's head was bandaged and it was later discovered that he had broken a finger.
