About Frank McCloskey
Francis Xavier McCloskey was an American journalist, lawyer, and politician from Indiana who served in the United States House of Representatives as a Democrat from 1983 to 1995. Additionally, he served on a 10-member task force created by the U.S. Conference of Mayors created to study urban financial policy. McCloskey thus became the sixth challenger since 1966 to unseat an incumbent in what had become known as "the Bloody 8th".
