About Christine Orengo
Christine Anne Orengo is a Professor of Bioinformatics at University College London (UCL) known for her work on protein structure, particularly the CATH database. From 2021 to 2024, Orengo served as president of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), the first woman to do so in the history of the society. She was awarded a PhD for research on the redox properties of haem in proteins in 1984 from UCL.
