Susanna Madora Salter (née Kinsey; March 2, 1860 – March 17, 1961) was an American politician and activist. From 1887 to 1888, she was mayor of Argonia, Kansas, becoming the first woman to serve in that role in the United States and one of the earliest in any U.S. political office.
