About Chris Simms

Christopher David Simms is an American sports analyst and former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2003 NFL draft after playing college football for the Texas Longhorns. As a result, Simms got his first career start and had the Longhorns up 16–6 at halftime. The Longhorns were ranked #5 to start the 2001 season and Simms' play through the first four games was good enough to keep them there. Texas won its first 5 games and then faced their first challenge against #3 Oklahoma.
