Joseph Andrew Staley is an American former professional football player who spent his entire career as an offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Central Michigan Chippewas and was selected by the 49ers in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft. In the 200-meter dash, he set a record with a time of 21.9 seconds. He also blocked for CMU's single-season total yardage record holder, Kent Smith.
