Alison Margaret Wolf, Baroness Wolf of Dulwich, (née Potter, born 31 October 1949) is a British economist, academic, and life peer. She is the Sir Roy Griffiths Professor of Public Sector Management at King's College London; Director of the International Centre for University Policy Research, King's Policy Institute; and Director of the university's MSc program in Public Sector Policy and Management. Her book, The XX Factor, was published in 2013. == Early life and education == Alison Potter was born on 31 October 1949. She was educated at Oxford High School, an all-girls private school in Oxford, England. She went on to study at the University of Neuchatel and the University of Oxford as an undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford. == Career == Her early career was spent in the United States as a policy analyst for the government. She then worked many years at the Institute of Education of the University of London where she was guest professor. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for Education for the House of Commons of the United Kingdom and a member of the council of the United Nations University. She writes frequent articles in the British press and moderated a programme on BBC Radio 4.
