About Andrew Micallef
Andrew Micallef is a Maltese painter and musician. He is known for his highly detailed paintings of Maltese flora and fauna, landscapes, seascapes and architecture. He has held numerous solo exhibitions, and has also illustrated books and designed stamps. He is also a professional chromatic button accordion player. Micallef's first personal exhibition was held in December 1986 at the annex of Saint John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta, and it consisted of paintings of birds. Micallef also illustrated a number of books, the first of which was Flora u Fawna ta' Malta (Flora and Fauna of Malta) in 1995.
