About Belinda Stronach
Belinda Caroline Stronach is a Canadian businesswoman and former politician. She served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2004 to 2008, initially as a Conservative and later as a Liberal. During her political career, Stronach served as the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development from May 17, 2005, to February 6, 2006, and Minister responsible for Democratic Renewal from May 17, 2005, to February 6, 2006, both in Paul Martin's Cabinet. After leaving Magna, Stronach and her father founded The Stronach Group in mid-2011. Stronach and Mercer co-founded Spread the Net, a charity organization that has raised funds to distribute insecticide-treated bed nets to families in Africa, significantly reducing malaria transmission.
