About Blake Snell

Blake Ashton Snell (born December 4, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants. Snell was selected by the Rays in the first round of the 2011 MLB draft and made his MLB debut with them in 2016. He won the American League (AL) Cy Young Award in 2018, when he was an All-Star and led the league in both wins and earned run average (ERA). The Rays traded Snell to the Padres before the 2021 season and he won his second Cy Young Award in 2023. Snell signed with the Giants in 2024. He threw a no-hitter on August 2 against the Cincinnati Reds. He began a five-year contract with the Dodgers in 2025. He was a part of the team's 2025 World Series championship over the Toronto Blue Jays.
