He was best known for his long-running stint as early morning anchor for the Nine Network, both on the Today and National Nine Early Morning News. Eric Walters (4 July 1937 – 18 August 2010) was an Australian journalist, media trainer and former television presenter. Walters presented the Ten Evening News with Eric Walters (later to become Ten Eyewitness News with Eric Walters) from mid-1990 until April 1991, when Ten undertook a major overhaul of its news programming.
