Eugen Sänger (22 September 1905 – 10 February 1964) was an Austrian aerospace engineer best known for his contributions to lifting body and ramjet technology. After the war ended, Sänger worked for the French government and in 1949 founded the Fédération Astronautique. In 1951, he became the first President of the International Astronautical Federation.
