Jake Allen is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is a goaltender for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the second round, 34th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 2008 NHL entry draft and won the Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019. Allen has also previously played for the Montreal Canadiens. In January 2010, Allen was traded to the Drummondville Voltigeurs following the annual World Juniors tournament, and posted a record of 18 wins and three losses with a.933 save percentage and 1.75 goals against average (GAA). Amidst the lockout-shortened 2012–13 season, Allen was recalled to the Blues and recorded his first NHL start and win in a 4–3 overtime victory over the Detroit Red Wings on February 13, 2013. On March 26, 2016, Allen registered a 4–0 shutout win over the Washington Capitals to help the Blues break their franchise record for longest stretch without allowing a goal.
