Jason Alan Grimsley is an American former Major League Baseball relief pitcher who played for seven teams during a 15-year career. He was a member of both the 1999 and 2000 World Series champion New York Yankees. In 2005, he posted a 1–3 record with a 5.73 ERA, and was granted free agency on October 27. Grimsley is known for his leading role in the 1994 Bat Burglary involving Albert Belle and an allegedly corked bat that was taken away by umpires for examination by the league. In three and a half years in Kansas City, Grimsley never posted a record better than.500 (he was 3–3 in 2004).
