Kenneth D. Schisler is a former member of the Maryland House of Delegates and former chair of the Maryland Public Service Commission. Schisler was first elected to office in 1990 when he was only 21 years old. In this reconfigured district, Schisler won reelection along with fellow Republican Adelaide C. In 1998, Schisler and Eckardt again won reelection, this time defeating Democratic challenger William Steven Brohawn. Martin O'Malley won the gubernatorial election in 2006, thus Schisler lost his advocate, Governor Bob Ehrlich.
