About Léon Flameng
Marie Léon Flameng was a French cyclist and a World War I pilot. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, winning three medals including one gold. He won a silver medal in the 10 km race, finishing just behind fellow countryman Paul Masson. He won the bronze medal in the sprint race, which was six laps around the Velodrome. Marie Léon Flameng (30 April 1877 – 12 January 1917) was a French cyclist and a World War I pilot.
