About Lucius Allen
Lucius Oliver Allen Jr. is an American former professional basketball player. He is one of only a select few players to have won at least one high school state championship, collegiate national championship, and NBA championship. The 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) Allen played forward under head coach Walter Shublom, who had a 296–26 record over 15 years as Wyandotte's head coach, winning 10 state championships. As a sophomore, the team went to the state championship game, where Allen was named a starter for the first time that season (though the team lost that game). In both 1964 and 1965, Allen was named consensus first-team Class AA All-State, was selected to the Class AA All-Tournament teams, and was the tournament's Most Valuable Player both years.
