Nicholas Foligno is an American professional ice hockey player who is a left winger for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the first round, 28th overall by the Ottawa Senators during the 2006 NHL entry draft. Foligno was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets six years later. Foligno registered his first OHL point, an assist, in a 6–1 win over the Erie Otters on September 26, 2004. It took Foligno 23 games, but he scored his first career OHL goal on November 20, 2004, beating Kitchener Rangers goaltender Dan Turple in a 6–3 loss.
