Robert Morin is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. In 2009, he received the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts. In 1977, with a group of friends and colleagues, Morin founded La Coopérative de Production Vidéo de Montréal, where he continues to produce his own work. After creating close to 30 short films with his colleagues over 10 years, he directed his first feature-length film Scale-Model Sadness (Tristesse modèle réduit) in 1987.
