Terrence Deon Long is an American former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1999 to 2006 for the New York Mets, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, and New York Yankees. The New York Mets drafted Long in the first round (20th pick) of the 1994 amateur draft. In August of that season, Long signed a 4-year, $11.6 million extension that would keep him under contract through the 2005 season.
