About Thomas Henry Ismay

Thomas Henry Ismay was an owner of the White Star Line. His eldest son Joseph Bruce Ismay was managing director of the White Star Line and survived the sinking of its ocean liner RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage in 1912. In March of that year, Ismay's health began to improve, and he and Margaret went to Windermere but while there he became ill again.
